Home for the Holidays - The JRA Family Photo Album

December 20, 2017

To make our blog extra festive this holiday season, we asked the JRA staff to submit pics of their families either celebrating at home or at one of Cincinnati's many attractions. So here's where our team members are "fa-la-la-ing" and "jing-a-ling-ing" this year:

Paul Galati enjoyed Kings Island Winterfest with his wife, Kim.

Chloe Hausfeld (Top Right), spent a ladies weekend at the Biltmore Estate with her sister, Alexis McDonald, and mom, Patti James, before heading home to her husband Eric and dog Milton.

Dan and Patty Schultz have 8 grandchildren(!) and are seen here holding their little reindeer, Rhett.

Anyone who has a two-year-old knows that getting them to pose for photos can be a challenge. This was all Kate Batt could get of her daughter, Nina, at the Krohn Conservatory's Holiday Flower Show.

Shawn McCoy's family - including his wife Kim, daughter Keira, and son Fin - are all smiles as they pose in front of their Christmas tree.

And speaking of Christmas trees, Randy Smith's partner, Carla, is seen here trimming their household fir.

Bjorn Kemper and his children - Yann, Lars, Alina and Anika - bundled up for the annual Christkindlmarkt on Cincinnati's Fountain Square.

While Clara Rice, her husband Andy, and their two daughters checked out the Ohio Financial Services Victorian Village for the first time. Baby Charlotte (L) seemed pretty game for a visit with Santa, but Lily was a bit skeptical about such a young-looking St. Nick.

At JRA, we consider ourselves a family, and our staff members' families are considered an extension of our team. So from our extended family to yours, best wishes for fun holiday and a successful 2018.

What differentiates a fad from a trend? How are VR, AR, AI, and IP transforming the experential design landscape?

JRA Vice President Shawn McCoy answered these questions and more as part of his "Emerging Trends in Immersive Design" presentation at the 2017 International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo. For the seventh consecutive year, Shawn offered a fast-paced, full-of-cool-things presentation featuring the latest standout experiences in the attractions and leisure industries. But this year, he also shared the technologies, techniques and traits that comprise trends and give them lasting value.

Didn't make it to IAAPA this year, or want to catch Shawn's presentation again? Enjoy the video below and/or email Clara Rice at crice@jackrouse.com for a transcript. Thanks for watching!
