Project Description:
It's not everywhere that you can pull a 10-ton locomotive by hand and view objects through a giant X-ray machine. But you can at Enginuity! This educational attraction, located within the Ironbridge Gorge UNESCO World Heritage site, offers 20,000-square-feet of science based exhibits covering everything from earthquakes to electricity. Various activities and challenges showcase the ideas of engineering in a historical context while connecting them to contemporary design and technology.
Since its opening in 2002, Enginuity has welcomed thousands of visitors, from schoolchildren to business people to members of the Royal Family. While aimed at children eight and younger, the museum has found the exhibits to be engaging and inspiring for children of all ages.
