Project Description:
The Golisano Children's Museum of Naples features 15,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space, as well as an outdoor exhibit entitled, "Beautifully Outdoors". From climbing through an igloo to dancing through the leaves, the museum provides vibrant, colorful spaces for children to learn about Naples' unique regional history, agriculture, geography, and climate. A cityscape gallery is included, as well as an Everglades maze, life-sized Banyan tree, and "Lizard Lounge" area for teens and pre-teens.
With an initial target of approximately 65,000 annual visitors, the museum was delighted to welcome double that attendance, including 2,100 member families. This STEAM-based, brain building powerhouse has also become a regional economic development driver, providing increased tourism revenue and employment to the area.
