Project Description:

Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is swinging for the fences with its extensive factory tour renovation.

The tour begins with a thrilling movie that transports guests to the forests and mills, where every Louisville Slugger bat begins. This giant, floor-to-ceiling projection sets the stage for the world-famous factory tour by telling the important story of the wood before it reaches the factory.

Major league upgrades to the tour's monitors, sound system, graphics and exhibits take visitors closer to the bat making process than ever before. Exhibits include the giant Pro Player Billet Bin, an interactive display of the billets destined to be turned into baseball bats for star players on every major league team. The museum's popular hand-turning and burn-branding demonstrations have been moved out of the factory and into the museum gallery, where guests can watch and enjoy these activities, interact with the workers, and take pictures. At the end of their tour, each guest is presented with a souvenir mini-bat in a beautifully re-vamped gallery.

This is the first major factory tour renovation since Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory opened at this location in 1996. The legendary landmark attracts 300,000 guests a year, and this enhanced tour promises to be a home run with visitors.
